Canada will take its two wins from the soupy confines of Ufa's hockey rink and head east into Siberia and the next city on the Russian leg of their Super Series.
The Canadian junior hockey team exited Ufa with a 3-0 victory over the hosts Wednesday in a game in which the players were in need of fog lights on their helmets by the second period.
Ufa's new arena is impressive, but it is also not finished and lacked the necessary ventilation to deal with high humidity Wednesday.
The Canadians don't know what the climate will be like in Omsk's rink for Game 3 on Friday (Rogers Sportsnet, 8am et), but staking a 2-0 lead in the eight-game series has them feeling ready for anything.
"Now we've kind of got them on their heels," forward Stefan Legein said. "We've got to keep our foot on the gas."
Game 4 is Saturday and then it's the long haul from Omsk to Toronto on Sunday.
