June 26, 1977, I was commissioned & ordained as a Salvation Army Officer!
Majors Ethel & Alf Richardson presented the 30 year Long Service Recognition Bar to me at a Banquet Buffet in The Elm Hurst Inn, Ingersoll, ON, this afternoon.
In the 30 years, Lorraine & I ministered in the following Salvation Army Corps: Glenwood, NL; Change Islands, NL; Norris Arm, NL; Newcastle, NB (Now Miramichi City); Flin Flon, MB; Kenora, ON; New Waterford, NS. Also we had appointments in Hamilton Public Relations(with offices in Hamilton, Kitdhener, & St. Cathrines; Community & Family Services in Vancouver, Calgary, Burlington (4 months for me), & Cambridge. Prior to our marriage, Lorraine was in Philip's Head, NL.
All of these appointments have been filled with great opportunities for ministry in Corps, Public Relations, & Community & Family Services, and I give all the glory to Jesus, my Lord & Saviour!
