Canadian Jrs Gives The Russian Jrs A Pounding in Winnipeg

Gatineau Olympiques forward Claude Giroux scored twice and Canada continued its domination of the eight-game Super Series with an 8-1 win on Tuesday.

Canada clinched the series with their fifth straight win in front of 13,563 fans at MTS Centre.

It was the first game on Canadian ice after four games in Russia, and the widest margin of victory so far after a 6-2 win in Europe.

The teams meet again Wednesday in Saskatoon, Friday in Red Deer, Alta., and Sunday in Vancouver.

Brent Sutter is now 17 - 0 as coach of Canada's Jrs. Great coach!
