“Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2 HCSB)
Slowly read through this devotional as a prayer to God –
Lord, help me and guide me so I am no longer conformed to this age. Move me in such a way, Lord, that I can un-conform to anything that is not a part of you or pleasing to you.
Wash my mind with your spirit and wisdom. Renew my mind so I am transformed by your power – and not my limited ability to will it so. Develop my ability to discern your will – and energize me to do the things that will please you.
Father, I pray this prayer for my family – that we will no longer be so well-adjusted to our culture that we fit into it without even thinking (Romans 12:2 MSG). We want to be God-adjusted within the culture as a whole and also God-adjusted within the culture of our home, neighborhood, and community.
Lord, compel us to fix our attention on you, our God, the Holy One of Israel. Change us from the inside out. Help us to readily recognize what you want from us, so we can quickly respond to your command. Help us to drop any weapons of the flesh that we hold in our hands; instead picking up and wielding the weapons of the Spirit that you so wisely supply. Develop us into well-formed, mature Christians – sons and daughters of the King – fathers and mothers of the faith.
So what does this mean?
· God is in the details – Oswald Chambers writes, “We can all see God in exceptional things, but it requires the growth of spiritual discipline to see God in every detail. Never believe that the so-called random events of life are anything less than God’s appointed order. Be ready to discover his divine designs anywhere and everywhere.”
· Life circumstances – Where is God in the circumstances and details of your life?
· See God’s hand – Looking back over this past year, can you see God’s hand in your life where you could not see it before?
· Be ‘un-conformed’ – What area in your life needs to be “un-conformed” from the ways of the world?

CANADA TAKES 3-0 LEAD IN THE SUPER SERIES!!!
The coach of Russia's junior hockey team and former NHL player was the picture of frustration at the post-game news conference after his team lost 6-2 to Canada on Friday and their third straight to the visitors to start this Super Series.
The Canadians aim to sweep the Russian leg of the eight-game event, which was put together to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the 1972 Summit Series, before the Canadian half of the series opens Tuesday in Winnipeg.
Game 4 of the Junior Super Series is Saturday (TSN, 6 a.m. ET) in the second of back-to-back games at the new Arena Omsk.

Canada takes 2-0 lead in Super Series!!!
Canada will take its two wins from the soupy confines of Ufa's hockey rink and head east into Siberia and the next city on the Russian leg of their Super Series.
The Canadian junior hockey team exited Ufa with a 3-0 victory over the hosts Wednesday in a game in which the players were in need of fog lights on their helmets by the second period.
Ufa's new arena is impressive, but it is also not finished and lacked the necessary ventilation to deal with high humidity Wednesday.
The Canadians don't know what the climate will be like in Omsk's rink for Game 3 on Friday (Rogers Sportsnet, 8am et), but staking a 2-0 lead in the eight-game series has them feeling ready for anything.
"Now we've kind of got them on their heels," forward Stefan Legein said. "We've got to keep our foot on the gas."
Game 4 is Saturday and then it's the long haul from Omsk to Toronto on Sunday.

At 4:00pm we went to the airport and picked up Lorraine's parents (Bishops) from Newfoundland. They are with us for about a month.
We are looking forward to our time together!

Where Does Your Strength Come From?
"Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint" (Isaiah 40: 30, 31).
Just a few thoughts on these verses...........
What is your strength? Is it your youth? ... your conditioning? ... your wisdom? ... your friends? ... your experience? None of us can depend upon our human ability. Health, wisdom, and wealth are all vulnerable to the fragility of life and circumstance. Only the LORD can ensure that we can survive the unthinkable, thrive in the mundane, and soar in good times. Let's call upon, let's wait upon, let's depend upon the LORD!
O LORD, thank You for sustaining me through the hard times in my life. Thank You for helping me soar, doing things for you that I never dreamed I could accomplish. Father, thank You for blessing me during the everyday comings and goings of life. I depend upon You for help and strength. For every good thing in my life I praise You and thank You.

Who broke down the walls of Jericho?
The visiting Bible school supervisor asks little Johnny during Bible class, "Who broke down the walls of Jericho?"
Little Johnny replies, "I dunno, but it wasn't me!"
The supervisor, taken aback by Johnny's lack of basic Bible knowledge goes to the school principal and relates the whole incident.
The principal replies, "I know Little Johnny as well as his whole family very well and can vouch for them; if Little Johnny said that he did not do it, then I, as principal is satisfied that it is the truth."
Even more appalled, the inspector goes to the regional Head of Education and relates the whole story...
After listening he replies: "I can't see why you are making such a big issue out of this; just get three quotes and fix the wall!"
